The Island of Elba, is situated in front of the Gulf of Follonica, about 10 km off the coast.
It is’ the largest island of the Tuscan Archipelago. The highest peak is Mt.Capanne, at over 1000 meters.

Di notevole importanza sono le ville in cui Napoleone Bonaparte visse durante i 10 months of exile on the island in 1814. The two most famous villas are Villa Mills, overlooking Portoferraio, and Villa St. Martin.
Recently the island has gained reputation for its wine, Aleatico, a fortified dessert wine.
The island is connected to the mainland by ferries departing from Piombino, that allow to reach Portoferraio, Rio Marina and Cavo.

Mountain Tourism,: countless organized trips to Mt. Capanne are available, which is also accessible through a cableway from Marciana.
Scuba-Diving Tourism: grazie alle numerose spiagge ricche di affascinanti scogliere, the island offers several diving opportunities, at all levels.
Beach Tourism: White sand and granite beaches in the Western part (Marina di Campo), golden sand in the central part (Lido di Capoliveri), fino alle spiagge di ghiaia bianchissima (West of Portoferraio), the possibilities are endless and so are the landscapes you can admire all along the coastline, of the island for 147 km.
