Cala Civette

Distance: 24 minutes

Located in the Nature Reserve of Scarlino, about 20 km from Castiglione della Pescaia, it is one of the most beautiful and unspoilt beaches on the Tuscan coast and takes its name from the 16th-century tower “Torre Civette”, which dominates the beach from the promontory.

Cala Civette is a small natural paradise, characterised by crystal-clear turquoise waters, golden sand and the lush green of the Mediterranean maquis that surrounds it.

For those who enjoy mountain bike excursions, you can reach the beach of Cala Civette by following a characteristic route through the wilderness. Departure is from Puntone of Scarlino, continue to the Etrusca Marina tourist port, pass the Hotel “Parco delle Cale” and continue along a dirt road until you reach a clearing from which a small dirt road starts. The path crosses the rolling hills and offers a breathtaking view of the sea, passing by Cala Martina, Cala Francese, Cala Violina and finally Cala Civette.
