The Program for the 2026 Leopoldina Ciclostorica
This year’s edition is bigger and better than ever. The activities kick off on Friday, May 29, with talks on cycling tourism, but the heart of the event really comes alive throughout the long weekend.
In addition, a “dress rehearsal” is scheduled for Monday, June 1, featuring a ride to Cala Violina. The actual Ciclostorica will kick off on Tuesday, June 2, with the start at dawn for the new “Giro degli Assi.”

“To capture the epic spirit of the Leopoldina, I recommend setting up on the dirt sections with a 70-200mm lens. Use an f/2.8 (or f/4) aperture to isolate the cyclist and blur the dust kicked up. Set a fast shutter speed to freeze the action, but don’t be afraid to bump up the ISO a bit: in a historical setting, a touch of grain isn’t a flaw, but an added value that gives the photo a vintage feel.”
